Each book has its own actors, and these actors become the voice of that character for the entire series. You come to know the character by voice, this adds a new aspect to audio books.

Also the sound effects used are just like what movies use. Shotguns, M-16s, Ak47s, bombs, cars, and everything sounds like it should. The narrator does not say "and then the phone rang"
